I noticed Bokosuka Wars II pop up on the side bar in Grouvee and I'm very excited about this! Four months ago one of my favourite Youtubers posted a video (below) about the original Bokosuka Wars (1983), so this is a sequel 34 years in the making! Apparently though the devs have actually been working on this for quite some time. They've also said that they wish to stick with the classic gameplay of the original and the somewhat brutal difficulty, but we shall see. Interesting to see no PC release, I hope it comes to the PSN-store in Australia, but if they release a disc copy perhaps I can import it.

Bokosuka Wars is a really inventive idea for a game and I've played it myself (emulated) and can say that it's highly addictive and satisfying to play. It's one of those games where you amass a crowd of people around you to follow you around and fight for/with you, coincidentally similar to the recently praised Okhlos: Omega. You could say it's also a little bit similar to the free game Right Click To Necromance available for download here or here. (Best free game I played last year, not including Path of Exile.

Here's the original Bokosuka Wars video by Frankomatic. A very underappreciated hidden gem Youtuber who usually plays odd/obscure games:

(Sorry for spamming the feed right now by the way. This is my last post I promise!.)
