Simply put, the stand-up is mostly fine and the grappling still feels wonky.

Striking is crunchy but they are still damage sponges (makes it more arcade-y). Fighters still have way too many crazy moves that make it feel more like a movie fight. But with that said, the stand-up is pleasant.

Striking is crunchy but they are still damage sponges (makes it more arcade-y). Fighters still have way too many crazy moves that make it feel more like a movie fight. But with that said, the stand-up is pleasant.

I don't like the submission system, and the game is rather obtuse with the grappling. It's a little more accessible this time but still pretty demanding to get good at. The camera angles don't work in your favor. The ground game might be too complex to replicate in a video game.

Not a whole lot to do: there's a career, online, betting on real fights (which I actually like...) and the Ultimate Team mode, which uses cards to improve the fighters you make.

Still enjoy it though. Just don't love it.
