Kinect Rush is an attempt to bring back Disney games to status they had twenty years ago. The presentation is superb and looking at a trailer you might actually think its a good game, but sadly its not. The Kinect controls are frustratingly inconsistent and after just an hour or two the game feels extremely stale.

Got this for 4 bucks and while it's not Disneyland Adventures, it's definitely a nice pseudo sequel in a way. Nothing will ever be as good as Disneyland Adventures, but this should be a relaxing little experience, and it's nice to be back in a cozy kid friendly world.

Meh

I don't see a release option for the port to xb1/xsx but that's what I played. It's on gamepass, I'd never heard of it, I thought it looked fun. Kinect is not required nor advertised as a part of the game on this version.

I don't see a release option for the port to xb1/xsx but that's what I played. It's on gamepass, I'd never heard of it, I thought it looked fun. Kinect is not required nor advertised as a part of the game on this version.

Seeing now that it was a 2012 360 kinect game that has been republished for current gen explains a lot. It's fine but it feels 10 years old. I played 2 maps of ratatouille and its essentially the same as any mobile runner game. It's clunky. It's a hodgepodge of pixar movie based games glued together by an unimaginative if not cheap theme park filled with children who want to play with you. Their voice explanations, recaps, and banter are not skippable. I felt trapped in a kindergarten playground. The characters and visuals still have the charming Pixar feel, so if you're a diehard pixar fan, you might still enjoy this slow Mario party style collection of simple themed games. If you're not a pixar superfan, this one's an easy skip.

I'm playing it with my wife. Honest! Don't judge me, it's actually a good laugh so far!
