I picked up Traveler's Rest on a whim since it didn't cost that much and it was similar to another game I played (Tavern Master).
It's a charming 8-bit styled game, very reminiscent of Graveyard Keeper in its mechanics and that is: you own a venture (graveyard/tavern) and you have to make due via crafting, satisfying clients (or the clergy/villagers!) and you can own your very pet (cat/Jerry The Skull /j). The goal is to keep your tavern going while managing food, ingredients, making your own ales and mixing/matching ingredients to make your own signature foods/drinks.
It's quite comfy and it doesn't demand you to do extreme work in keeping up with the customers: you get small QOL improvements overtime that amount to a massive boost even in the early days of your tavern-keeping and most of the crafting benches that you will need are given for free to you by the game in its tutorial.
I haven't gotten too far into the game yet, but so it's charming and honestly one of the few games that didn't make me feel as if I had made a hasty purchase as of late. Recommended if you're into the chill vibes of dealing with your own establishment.
