Great showcase of PSVR2

Which is another way to say it's basically more of a tech demo. The game is fun, and the eye tracking telekinetic power is very impressive. The sound design is also pretty good, I love the voice acting.

Which is another way to say it's basically more of a tech demo. The game is fun, and the eye tracking telekinetic power is very impressive. The sound design is also pretty good, I love the voice acting.

While the game looks sharp, I don't like the black and white aesthetic. Gameplay wise, there are only about 4 different weapon types and 4 different enemy types. There is only one boss in the entire game which shows up as a regular enemy afterwards, and it's not even the final boss. At one point I thought the story might have an interesting twist, but nope, it's just underwhelming - especially the ending. There isn't even an ending cutscene or something, the credits just abruptly roll out.

I am currently playing through the game whenever I want to take a break from Baldur's Gate 3 but man, does switching between the two make Synapse feel shallow. Of course, there is no comparison between the two, but I really wish we had more in-depth VR games. It often feels as if VR doesn't love me back. If it isn't clear, I am a bit disappointed by the game. I haven't played enough of it yet, but for anyone interested I recommend checking out The Light Brigade on PSVR first, it is similar to this one, but has more depth.
