Just rolled credits! Though fun, I think this game is pretty clearly the weakest of the Quintet games I’ve played so far. Combat got stale, music wasn’t as good as I’d hoped, but overall still a fun experience. On to Terranigma next!

Been playing this for the past few days. The gameplay loop is pretty addicting, though I think the combat has gotten a tad stale. Kind of wish they didn't use spawn points for the enemies where you're basically encouraged to find a spot to camp them. But the world is a lot more fleshed out than I thought it would be and I really look forward to going back to the towns to see what's changed after making some progress in the dungeons.

I rented this back in the 90s and it has stuck in my mind ever since; mainly the very cool concept of restoring buildings and people in town as you progress. Not sure if I actually beat the game back then. I did beat the game many years later and greatly enjoyed the game. It has been a few years since then so I do not remember the details very well. My save does have all spells and armor, all swords except the 2nd best and 3 bracers. Not sure how much I missed. I was particularly impressed with how equipment is not simple linear upgrades, but rather you are encouraged to switch back and forth to counter specific threats.

My notes say I gave it 7/10 but that feels too low. I am thinking more 7.5 to 8. I should play it again sometime.

This game is still so good 25 years later, and the music is excellent. I just played it for about 3 hours straight on my day after Thanksgiving holiday. I suppose I should be working on Grouvee since I actually have a little free time :)

I'm playing this game on Super Famicon which should be a platform option here on Grouvee IMHO. Also it's called Soul Blader in Japan TBH. That being said, this game is awesome, the music is kind of lacking but I love the idea of exploring the dreams of tulips and trees LOL. Hopefully I beat it soon and collect all …
