4 hours in, I've finally completed my first run... and I am all the ready to do it again with one of the new squads. Yay, liking games!

Holy macaroni am I bad at strategy. Or taking decisions. Or understanding what am I doing.

I, however, am good at punching bugs into mountains, therefore I'm enjoying this.

Wasn't expecting this to be as difficult as it was. Then I saw it was made by the same people as FTL, which makes sense. Not really looking for this kind of challenge. Love everything about the gameplay, except how difficult I'm finding it. Thought it'd be more like Advance Wars. Just honestly under too much stress to play something …

It's like Chess in the best possible way. I realized that one of my units was "pinned" by the enemy and that moving it would expose the civilians we were trying to defend. Then combining strategic placement with abilities which can relocate enemies and friendly units. Great presentation with gorgeous art and some beautiful animations and effects.

This is a great portable game for the Switch. I am having fun with it. My only issue is that I think I started this game on too easy a difficulty and don’t think I can switch without restarting the whole timeline. Nonetheless, I love the simple mechanics that lead me to deeply think about every move.

This game keeps kicking my ass and I love it??? I had to shake my “I can reset anyway” mindset from other strategy games and I still occasionally get in trouble from carelessness. It’s not as forgiving of mistakes as other games in the genre are, and while the small maps may make the game seem deceptively simple, it is …

this simple TBT blooms as you play it more into something to appreciate. what comps you guys like? I think i like blitzkrieg more out of the box and playstyle but i had a run with rusting hulks that was very OP due to ideal gear. I am still learning the rest of them.

has a nice whiff of Chromasquad's kaiju fights in the first 20 mins playing this, then starts to become more apparently FTL like.

So, after playing like 18 hours of Into the Breach in 3 days.... I guess I like this game quite a bit.... Made a little explainer video about it if anyone hasn't seen it yet and is curious about what it is. It's been a pretty light year for games so far, so def recommend it if you're looking for …

what an incredibly solid and satisfying game. As others have said, the difficulty and frustration of FTL with a more forgiving learning curve that encourages thinking critically. One of my favorites so far of 2018.

I wasn't sure about this at first because I find its roguelike elements to be completely unnecessary, but the deeper I get into it, the more I find myself praising about it. The combat is so tight, it almost becomes a puzzle game. Battles almost feel more about solving 5 rounds of complex problems than a normal tactics game. Super tight, but again, just wish the roguelike nature of it didn't obscure the gameplay.
