I neither liked nor disliked Lightyear Frontier. Overall, I loved the concept of the game but i do feel that it was made for all ages giving it a more childish play style. This game is a little slow and is still in the preview stage on the Xbox, this leads me to believe they are still open to making updates to the game. If you're not interested in exploration to its fullest potential and having to memorize the location of materials, then I wouldn't recommend this game for you.
My recommendation for the game developers would be to add markers to the map that way players can save time once they find the location of materials needed. Add in a grid when building your base to allow a more seamless building experience. Also, with some of the items have a mirror image of the product. (for people with OCD)
If you do like builder games, I would say give it a try and see if it's for you!
