This chinese action-platformer does a lot of things right... but there's something for every one of them that holds it back and won't let it shine.
The visual style is gorgeous, but (at least in a base PS4) doesn't run well at all, dropping frames everywhere. the combat is fun, but not very deep. The plot tries to touch interesting themes about government amorality and the privileges of the ruling classes —using real events from chinese story—, but doesn't know how to tell its story.
Bladed Fury is dissapointing because it had a lot of potential. Well... at least is short. Very, VERY short.

Bladed Fury attempts to tell a tale from Chinese legend, but exiles itself into the realm of the unremarkable with several missteps. Combat is not terribly deep and the precision strike system is no implemented well, though the Soul Silver system adds a unique touch to it. While the sound design encapsulates eastern inspiration, the art design struggles to find footing in one place. Bladed Fury is short and a very cool art show with questionable fan service. As for me, I’ll be polishing my fighting skills elsewhere.
