Folks, I am here to spread the word of Chinese indie knockoff Ace Attorney.

I know some people viscerally hate it when a game blatantly copies another series, but if you're not one of those people, and you're an Ace Attorney fan (I know there are a few other diehards here) who is sad that no Ace Attorney has been released for like 8 years... I think this game has a lot of heart! You'd have to get past the awkward english translation (don't worry, it's not machine translated - it has too many blatant mistakes for that), and of course, as an indie game, it isn't really as tight as real ace attorney games with its mysteries (kind of like Tyrion Cuthbert), sometimes taking strange leaps or just having really obvious twists, but it captures the spirit of Ace Attorney well and does have some really good ideas! Well, maybe this doesn't sound like a glowing review, but I think it's good to set the bar low 😅 But there's a reason I'm recommending it! Case 1 is a mess, case 2 is boring, but they hit their stride starting around case 3 and the final cases are good when it counts. I found myself surprisingly drawn in and attached to the characters. I think this game is worth a play for AA fans.
