this game is some good fun if you have a friend to play it with. operation: tango works as a cool little thriller you and your friend have to work together at. each mission gets progressively harder, and the stakes get higher. the art style is cartoony so it may be a turnoff for some, but the gameplay is decent enough. this is satisfying to play and beat with a friend because it makes you feel accomplished like real agents likely would be across the various situations. i would not recommend trying to queue up and find somebody on this game. it works best when you know the other person and you're having a laugh trying to help each other out throughout the missions. operation: tango isn't the biggest surprise of a game but if you're just expecting something fun to detox to, then i think you and your secret agent partner will be happy here. the nature of these games are that they're usually on the shorter side and that's no different here. just have some fun and challenge your thinking - and friendship - a little.

This is a pretty neat co-op experience. Can't say how it works over voicechat, but playing with my girlfriend in the same room (without seeing each other's screens) is a blast.

Unlike other "limited information games" in which each player has only one piece of the puzzle (like Get Together), there's a wide variety of minigames and each character has an unique experience.

My girlfriend played as the hacker and I as the agent, but we will probably re-play it switching characters. I bet is not the same, since each of us has a better idea of what the other is seeing or doing, but probably still fun.

As a technical note, it's pretty cool that only one player has to buy the game. The other can download a free "DLC" which allows them to connect and play.

It's rather short, though.

A Few Hours of Fun

Team-building multiplayer games like It Takes Two and We Were Here have been incredibly fun gaming experiences, especially when playing side-by-side with my partner. Operation Tango will be added on the list for memorable gaming experiences as well.

Only one copy of the game needs to be purchased. The other player simply downloads the free Friend Pass and joins the purchaser's game. The only "downside" is that the player on the Friend Pass won't be earning any in-game achievements. Otherwise, both players get the same gaming experience.

There are two characters you can play as. The Hacker or the Agent. After you decide who plays who, you play through the missions by working together, sharing the information you see on your screen with your partner to complete each segment. Most of the missions, while having similar gameplay mechanics, included enough unique puzzles and sequences to keep each mission feeling fresh.

My biggest complaint is that there isn't much replayability and the game is rather short. I just wanted to keep playing more!

Absolute mayhem over voice chat

Operation Tango is a very very different experience. You solve puzzles in a spy setup, with a friend over voice chat on the other side. You each take up a different role - one operative on-ground and the other the hacker behind a screen.

You can't see the other person's screen so description of what you see is key. Solve …

You can't see the other person's screen so description of what you see is key. Solve puzzles with just imagination and voice is pretty cool. This might end a few friendships be warned but will definitely bring a lot of laughs.

A fun experience for which I'm definitely game for a sequel.
