I gotta admit this game was the fastest binge as of late for me.

I've accumulated 8 hours of gameplay in 2-3 days, beat the game once, had a blast with it, but have little interest in replaying with other characters.

It was very fun and refreshing for the first time around though.

A few hours in, I can quickly say that this has all the aesthetic beauty of Shovel Knight. The comedic/aware tone, the crunchy tunes, the crisp pixel art- it is all here. The question that I struggle with is does the core gameplay still deliver? I don't know yet. It is a puzzle adventure roguelike. I don't know if that works yet... Maybe not for me? It kinda reminds me of Crypt of the Necrodancer which is a game I also think is "just not for me"...

But this one has Shovel Knight so I will at least play this to 100% completion.
