Somehow, this game can get demotivating real quick especially after playing a run where you get cards and relics that you like but end up dying in anyway. I don't feel very enticed to do everything all over again (and this time without those things that I liked). Didn't feel this way with Hades so I'm thinking the boons, permanent upgrades, and room variety there excited me more.

Playing through the game trials offer. Did four runs in one sitting with each of the characters, and finished a complete one in the third run, which was with the Defect. Got mostly lucky there, I think. I found the Watcher to require the most planning to use. So far, I enjoyed the Silent the most, and felt the Ironclad …

Trying this game out made me realize how much time I've been spending on Persona 5 Royal. Now I'm kinda craving a game with a similar feel to this, and I'm thinking of maybe going for Ruined King.

Had to spend an hour and a half at the laundromat and I'd already finished Inscryption last night so... I started playing this again. Enjoyed it a lot more once I'd stepped away for a while. But now it's got it's hooks in me again... Ah, well, Darkest Dungeon 2 is out tomorrow.

Yeah, so, I think I might NEED to delete this game lol. It has a powerful addictive nature and I found myself desperately wanting to stop playing it much of yesterday while continuing to "just a little bit more" for hours. It has a powerful addictive nature and I found myself desperately wanting to stop playing it much of yesterday while continuing to "just a little bit more" for hours. The gameplay is very fun and full of depth, totally my thing... yet the difficulty curve is such that I spend over an hour each run blowing thru trivial fodder until I finally get to the third boss which just barely beats me. And by that point I'm always wanting to start over anyway. So I end up feeling like I WANT to lose the whole time I'm playing. Never really felt like this in a game before, lol.

Ok, I was finally defeated on floor 50. I haven't played THAT many roguelike games but I really dont think you're usually meant to make it that far on your very first try. It is fun tho.

I've had kind of a weird first impression with this game. Played only an hour, expecting to kind of try out the mechanics and probably lose pretty quick since it's a turn-based game and those usually start out hard. Played only an hour, expecting to kind of try out the mechanics and probably lose pretty quick since it's a turn-based game and those usually start out hard. Instead I absolutely plowed thru the first three areas with almost no difficulty, and ended up having to go to bed in the middle of the run. The mechanics seem really interesting and fun... but if the base difficulty is this trivial I don't know if it's gonna keep me playing.

enter image description here Finally got my first win in Slay the Spire. Getting the 5 Apparition cards and the Strange Spoon relic was a lethal combo. I barely took any damage the rest of the run.

Jugabilidad: 10

Nota: 8.93

The watcher was so much fun. Initially it felt impossible, but once I got a good strategy down every battle felt like a dance. Really recommend this game to anyone who like deck building and a challenging but rewarding experience.

Really enjoying this game. Played through it as the ironclad, silent and defect; now trying out the watcher. I think it has a good balance between strategy and luck, and the different characters’ decks forces you to try out very different tactics/deck builds, which is a lot of fun. I initially tried many shiv-heavy runs for the silent, but always …

I initially tried many shiv-heavy runs for the silent, but always got my ass handed to me. The second run that I focused on poison, I beat it. Very satisfying.

I've finally beat the game with The Silent! In my past runs, I always concentrated on block cards, but this time I got lucky and I was dealing insane amount of damage, so I almost didn't need block at all. And that "upgrade all your cards" option on Mind Bloom event was the icing on the cake. It was so …

Playing with The Silent is taking forever and I'm not even sure if I can actually finish it one day. I've discovered a couple of really fun and effective combos, but they were not good enough. After those good discoveries, restarting every time with the same basic deck is disappointing. I usually start with obtaining a random relic, however, some of them are really bad, especially the one that hides enemy intent. If only I could choose one between a couple of options, instead of a random one, as in card selections.

But one thing that I hate the most is, your deck getting bloated by cards given by the enemy. If you play slow, they will keep getting stacked and it is possible that you won't be able to play anything in a single turn because your hand will be full of those unplayable cards, which is super annoying.

Finally, I don't understand why some cards and relics are locked. It looks like something made only to increase the playtime. Because it doesn't require any skill to unlock them, you just need to keep playing and eventually, they will be unlocked.

I got this on a whim, to see if I might enjoy another deck building rogue like. Nope. :) Okay, it's addictive to play but the feeling of never succeeding ever combined with bad rng runs is still something I hate, not a gameplay feature I look forward to.
