Bewilderingly blandly designed sequel..
This review is for the PC (Microsoft Windows) version

Aragami 2 could be a good stealth game, with a good foundation of stealth gameplay and even an intriguing story, but it is plagued by constant bugs, performance issues, poor level design, pacing, rough implementation of gameplay mechanics and a visual style that only further serves to make its flaws even more evident then they already are.

butter smooth but repetitive

Loved the gameplay and how smooth it was.But thats all it has.....there is no interesting story..and the levels feel sooo repetitive after a while.

I hoped the game would take me somewhere, story-wise (big plot, bosses?) and gameplay-wise. But… it never did.

  • Pacing

Is it "too long"? Not really, but the gameplay loop doesn't renew itself. Hence the feeling of tiredness. The game runs out of steam, and the flaws keep reappearing.

  • Level design

The batman detective view is just too short, and the objective doesn't get highlighted. The level design doesn't help the player. The map provides the player with lots of things to parkour with, but it's not enough.

At first, it's pleasant to run, jump around, teleport to ledges. But you don't often get the opportunity to use these options freely. Everything is made to slow you down: detective view slows you down, the menu skills and consumables (ctrl key), waiting for enemies' patrol, waiting for the stamina bar to replenish (this last one is fair though)…

  • Combat flaws

Make the shuriken and other stuff not auto-aim! It's unusable the way it is. Make the talents (R key) usable from the air or while perching. Not enough versatility in their usage. It feels too restrictive.

This game, released in 2021, pales in comparison to other games of similar genres. It feels …
