The fifth entry in the We Were Here series shadow dropped for free in 2023 (though I believe you now have to pay for it). This is another short co-op experience with a seafaring theme and features replayable puzzles with a ranking system. The better you do on the puzzles, the more lavish rewards you receive for decorating your ship.

There was one puzzle in particular that my partner and I struggled with to a frustrating degree but between our hard-headedness and a guide, we managed to break through. The other puzzles, while varying in frustration, were straightforward and simply relied on quick communication.

This is a solid entry in this long-running series that my partner and I keep returning to each time a new one is released.

I think I got this for free on Steam a while back along with my partner and we decided to play it tonight. We went through and got all the achievements during our run. Getting the high scores you need made it take a bit longer than we expected because there were some small technical hiccups like falling through a moving floor that was lagging behind for one of us. Also the second of the three minigames was a bit RNG based and we were pretty unlucky so it took many tries, but it was otherwise a very cute well-made little game. There's not really a reason to replay it, so you might wanna grab it on sale (better yet for free if they ever do that again).

These games are great for playing with your best friend or significant other. However, they are a play once and then done game, there really isn't a point in playing again because the puzzles are all the same.
