Fun little puzzle heavy Zelda-like. Most of the puzzles were sokoban style box pushing, but with some extra twists. The combat felt very clumsy, but the game never asked too much of the player and was very forgiving with healing and restarts after death, so it wasn't too frustrating. There's a lot of smirk-worthy humor throughout the game, but nothing …

The combat felt very clumsy, but the game never asked too much of the player and was very forgiving with healing and restarts after death, so it wasn't too frustrating. There's a lot of smirk-worthy humor throughout the game, but nothing really laugh out loud funny.

I wasn't too interested in continuing on to do the optional content, but I enjoyed the three and a half hours I spent on the main quest.

Ittle Scratch Whatever Itch You've Got

Ittle Dew is great! It's much more of a puzzle game than I initially suspected it would be, which definitely gives it its own identity. Plus, the cast and characters are just so cute and good. Fishbun plushie when???

Ittle Dew: Head Scratcher

Ittle Dew wears its Zelda-ripoff on its sleeve: washing up on an adventurous island, you essentially move forth with your stick in room after room that resembles a round of Link's Awakening in many facets of its design.

Ittle Dew wears its Zelda-ripoff on its sleeve: washing up on an adventurous island, you essentially move forth with your stick in room after room that resembles a round of Link's Awakening in many facets of its design.

After starting up, the player will enter the castle, the main hub dungeon, and re-search the area on repeated efforts to look for treasure for three items. Each of those items is essentially a dungeon built to use that item, whether it's a fire sword, ice wand, or portal wand. Everything starts out simple and doesn't last long, but has plenty of satisfyingly tricky brain teasers at every corner (especially the grueling Master Cave) that hit a step above the more action-oriented Legend of Zelda design. Death isn't too prevalent, as hearts are everywhere and dying pretty much respawns you at a room as to encourage you forward.

Ittle Dew doesn't last long but it's a decent bite with cute sketched graphics, a bit of humor (that sometimes is hilarious), and plenty of thinking on your toes to see where those magic items will take you.

Anyone ever play this? Just saw the preorder bonuses for Ittle Dew 2 on Nintendo Switch and it makes me want to go and check out the original.

Stay away from the Master Cave

I really enjoyed Ittle Dew. It doesn't take itself seriously and makes fun of the silly things that are in the older Zelda games, like the statues and eating hearts. Some of the puzzles were quite challenging, making it very rewarding for solving them. But then I entered the Master Cave......which reminded me that people can invent puzzles so weird and …

I really enjoyed Ittle Dew. It doesn't take itself seriously and makes fun of the silly things that are in the older Zelda games, like the statues and eating hearts. Some of the puzzles were quite challenging, making it very rewarding for solving them. But then I entered the Master Cave......which reminded me that people can invent puzzles so weird and complicated that they always make you feel dumb. Even with a youtube movie I could not finish level 5 of 12 because of the insane timing you have to master. My advice, play the main game and finish all the caves, but leave that Master Cave for what it is.

Great game (the main quest), but the master cave has puzzles which use mechanics that are never explained, and seem more like exploits than fair play. Youtube solutions exist for these, and for many the common thought in my head was "well, I never would've thought of that in a million years."
