The idea of a sports RPG can be hard, but with time and consistency, it can make results. Soccer Story is interesting. While it has some good things, the gameplay seems thin, making it a result that needs more time to be a good one. It's not bad, but it's not for everyone.

Despite a really great presentation, Soccer Story manages to be mediocre in just about every other aspect. I made it about halfway through before deciding I'd had enough. Worth checking out on Gamepass if you really loved RPG + sports games like Golf Story or Pyre but otherwise I would stay away.
