Goetia is a point-and-click adventure game – and, as in any adventure game, you’ll be seeking out clues, finding objects, and figuring out how to use or combine them in order to progress through the different areas, puzzles and encounters. However, there is one major difference compared to other adventure games that you might be used to. In Goetia, you play the part of Abigail, the ghost of a young lady. And as a ghost, you can walk through walls and fly through ceilings, you can explore everywhere as you see fit. But… to manipulate objects, you’ll have to possess them, just like a real poltergeist would. And once you possess an object, you can’t pass through walls anymore. Read less

I love point & click games, but I strongly dislike vague and convoluted puzzles. The story was okay. I love point & click games, but I strongly dislike vague and convoluted puzzles. The story was okay. I never got the "good" ending because I misplaced the photo album someplace in the mansion & after searching high and low three times, I said "screw this." Maybe this is just me and my old people eyesight, but I found most of the notes/diary entries/anything "hand written" to be very difficult to read. I had to walk up to my TV to read some of it; In handheld mode, I sometimes had to use my phone's camera as a magnifying glass; sometimes I just didn't bother trying to read things. A "zoom in" option would have been great, as well as better hints to the puzzles (or better puzzles).

Just finished the demo. Interesting concept and story, iffy mechanics, and an awful lack of polish. One line of dialogue: "What do you wnat form me?" Come on, guys--you want me to pay full price for a product you didn't even run spellcheck on?

Overall, I might pick it up if I see a sale--but the demo didn't convince me …

Overall, I might pick it up if I see a sale--but the demo didn't convince me it's worth a full $14.99.
