Well I’m just hopelessly addicted to the genre. Even as games I was looking forward to release, I end up ignoring them to keep exploring the HOPA point and click genre. And games like this are why - there’s some seriously fun gems to be found.

Subliminal Realms has you playing as a father and artist whose family has been kidnapped inside of his paintings. It’s got an interesting dual reality mechanic, as your inventory is different depending on if you are in your house or in the painting world. But where the two intertwine is based on knowledge- codes and clues you find.

It’s a very fun experience and the puzzles are extremely high quality. Good painterly art style as well. It’s pretty short but a very fun ride and I hope the sequel is equally good.
