The game tells a story of a homeless man who communicates with the world using an old sock on his right hand. He's a huge football fan and plays it a lot near his backalley. One day he gets mugged by a wandering bully and looses his precious ball in the process. Now he must pull himself together, team up with a local superhero, find a new ball and confront his oppressor again. Available in English, German & Polish

Bizarre comedy point and click

The Bum is a comedic point and click freeware game with an absolutely bizarre sense of humor. It is much in the line of Monkey Island, but instead of Guywood you are a dirty homeless guy that speaks through a sock on your hand.

It has some decent puzzles, never too outlandishly incomprehensible. The pacing is the weirdest part, I’ve never played an Adventure Game Studio game with so much programmed-in pauses. It kinda drags the game down - a lot - but I think the strange dragged out pauses during all the dialogue cutscenes reveals the developers bizarre sensibilities in comedic timing.

I’m not a big comedy point and click guy, especially the absurdist type. So this is probably more up others’ alleys than mine. But I enjoyed the puzzles enough to finish so it’s a very light recommend.
