It is time for me to be angry at an indie game!

I got this game in a bundle for Ukraine, and I always feel bad for essentially criticizing a game that someone just made as a little project and threw in some donation bundle for the sake of it being noticed by someone. But I feel the need to be mean to indie developers it seem, I could have given this game a 1 star and moved on with my life but.

I truly wonder what was the vision for this game to be made, as an independent project it is impressive enough that they managed to create this fully explorable engine that looks pretty good and it has a soundtrack with 12 tracks, but as far as that goes, what is that engine used for? Well... A "Puzzle game" and the puzzle aspect is just guessing what gravitational level you should set for the little marbles in space.

I am sure there might be some level of "math" joy in there hidden but there is no tip whatsoever in any tutorial, as far as I can tell... This is it. So, as a puzzle game, it is not good. That is not an exaggeration, the goal of the game consists …

That is not an exaggeration, the goal of the game consists of guessing what number is good, the idea is to make the marbles (planets) hit the big planet in the middle all at the same time or at least in the seconds it gives you, and you have between a number of 0-2 or 0-1 or 0-5 to guess how strong the gravitational pull so that it hits the middle at the time you want to.

And it is so funny too because, this has almost everything a puzzle game should have: an incentive to unlock more prizes, a currency for beating levels, multiple modes... BUT THE PUZZLE GAME ITSELF IS JUST GUESSING A NUMBER BETWEEN 0-5 MULTIPLE TIMES for each planet, and every planet is different too, it is not like as time goes you go "Oh this planet is this far so it should probably need a gravitational pull of 3 to hit at the time I want it to hit", every planet is different and it is not like trying to figure out how much pull it takes for the marbles around and successfully guessing is any fun.

You can, yourself, go get a few marbles, and put them around a ball in the middle, all in different locations and distances, and I don't know, maybe program a machine to specifically add the specific amount of force that would be necessary to move them to reach the center, and so that all of the marbles around reach the center within a small time frame at the same time.

At that point though, you'd be playing something I'd imagine is only entertaining for a Physics professor, but the Physics professor actually gets valuable information and does actual math rather than just guessing a number between 0 to 5 for each marble. I'd imagine that calculating acceleration and force in real life is more stimulating than guessing a number between 0 and 5 and doing that through trial and error with every marble. The indie scene and it's means to make a game just for the sake of making a game... It is bewildering.
