People weren't kidding--this is very crude, basic, and sloppy. I do like that it always reports what percentage you completed, something I love about early text adventures that I haven't seen as much in the mid 80s. I also can't deny I actually like the very basic drawings as graphics heh (and that you have a chance of killing the annoying Josh character right at the beginning--funny/cool that was even in the parser heh).

Even tho this kept feeling so tacky, straightforward (I used a map but kinda regret it because was so easy), and bland, it kept me playing for some reason. Maybe because I do prefer simple, easier text adventures over the Zork-esque ones. And cuz some of the screens/"puzzles" reminded me, oddly/abstractly, of Crimson Room--a point and click Flash game favorite of my childhood. Like this part
That also led me down a rabbit hole of realizing Grouvee doesn't have the "sequel" that I remember, Viridian Room. Hmmmm, time to do some research.
