It was July 7th, 2011. While investigating reports of unlawful weapons trafficking, peacekeeping forces encountered an unclassified carnivorous species occupying a small village in Northern Africa. These rabid creatures were easily provoked and resistant to conventional attack.

Cool Boss fights finishers but everything else is sloppy at best
This review is for the PC (Microsoft Windows) version

The boss fights finisher cutscenes are super cool. These are the only reason I stuck to this game and tolerated the incredibly dull in-between game time. The minions are just potato sacks waiting for you to destroy them. The game is too easy. As I said, play only for those sick finishers and cutscenes.

Krauzer's review of Ninja Blade

This game is an action game developed by FromSoftware, set in a near-future Tokyo. The MC is called Ken Ogawa, a neo-ninja fighting a parasitic outbreak that turns humans into monstrous mutants. The game emphasizes fast-paced combat with multiple weapons and a chi-based "ninja vision" system. Boss battles often involve quick-time events, which add cinematic flair but can become overwhelming.

This one really feels like a 360-era Ninja Gaiden rip-off, not very unique but it at least made it possible to have a similar experience on PC at the time, since Ninja Gaiden was a 360 exclusive back in the day. The PC version of Ninja Blade was criticized for technical issues, including glitches, crashes, and performance problems. The port lacked official updates or mod support, which left many of these problems unresolved and diminished the overall experience.

Some praised its over-the-top style and cinematic moments, describing it as silly but fun, while others found it lackluster, comparing it unfavorably to Ninja Gaiden and God of War. Overall, it received mixed reviews and holds a "Mixed or Average" score on Metacritic, a game that had great potential but lacked courage to become much more unique compared to a lot of …

My biggest issue with this game are the bossfights, they are it's weakest point, lasting too long and not having any interesting enough mechanic, not to mention it has a very high amount of them. It offers a visually striking and action-packed experience, best suited for players looking for a straightforward, cinematic game, but I really consider this a very skippable game, there are many other similar title with higher quality.

Horribly Unoptimized On PC
This review is for the PC (Microsoft Windows) version

There is potential for Ninja Blade in its hack and slash gameplay to be a good overall action game, but poor porting to PC, unrefined and sluggish controls on mouse on keyboard, crappy and slow camera movement, in many places poor, buggy audio quality, repetitive gameplay, boss battles, reused levels and broken 60 fps mode forcing to play in 30 fps break it short. there is no option to remove motion blur on high settings you need to lower the quality in order for motion blur to be removed however it still shows up from time to time. Gameplay wise the game doesn't take itself seriously and sometimes have this over the top QTE sections i don't mind it but they just put too much QTE segments that it made me want to quit halfway I beat it but I got really bored of the game and got sick of the poor optimization.

It was too easy and too short. That is all.

Really great game and interesting story line. Now that I think about it, it reminds me of a Ninja Resident evil game because the basis of the story line are the same. There is a virus (worms) that story to infect people and turn them into monsters. The gameplay was fun which includes 3 swords (balance, power, and speed), a throwing weapon with 3 powers (wind, fire, electricity), the ability to slow down time, and super speed. If that doesn't sound fun then I don't know what does. The reason it is not a 5 star game is because the ending cinematic (after credits) did not make any sense (not going to spoil it but you will understand when you beat the game and there is not save points) and the only time you can save the game is after you beat a mission/level. Other than that this game is excellent.

Picked this up after seeing it mentioned by a youtuber. So far it's a fun action/adventure game with heavy devil may cry vibes. I had forgotten how annoying quick time events were though, and this game desperately wants to remind me.
