I've got another long flight this weekend (from Boudler to Cape Town 😓) so help me select a portable game to play on my phone with the vita emulator. These are the options I've got so far:

Dragon’s Crown is a masterpiece.

Dragon's Crown is quite literally a crowning achievement in the beat 'em up genre. Utilizing some of the best design concepts of the past 20 years, Vanillaware succeeds in creating a captivating world that you just can't help but experience over and over. The gameplay is simple enough for casual play but offers deep components to compliment it for those who want more from their games on both single and multiplayer levels. There's just one reason to avoid Dragon's Crown: you hate old-school side scrolling beat 'em ups. If you don't, you just can't miss Vanillaware masterpiece, a game built on a solid and deep combat system and George Kamitani's beautiful graphics.

Dragon's crown is good, but can be very basic when it comes to a lot of it's elements

At first, it felt like the game was way too basic for it's own good, but the more skills you unlock, the more you remember that this is an rpg, a beat em up rpg with painting-esque visuals that, while breathtaking at times, can be distracting and can create clutter. At first, it felt like the game was way too basic for it's own good, but the more skills you unlock, the more you remember that this is an rpg, a beat em up rpg with painting-esque visuals that, while breathtaking at times, can be distracting and can create clutter. The audio is great, the narrator was a little strange at first, but it quickly started feeling like I was playing a round of dungeons and dragons, and the magic of this game started to properly settle in, as for the music, it was somewhat standard, but simple doesn't mean bad, it's almost always fitting. The game was really good from start to finish (first ancient dragon battle, I'll probably go for the rest of the game). Now I have to talk about the controversial elements. I found the questionable aspects far tamer than some critics and fans have pointed, sorceress and especially amazon were done in a way that simply doesn't look like it's trying to appeal to a general audience of people who look for fanservice, it somewhat felt reasonable with amazon, and slightly less so with the sorceress. This, however, doesn't mean that I didn't feel uncomfortable, especially with the monk and the mage's tower's spirit who were in positions that very clearly pander to a specific audience. Overall, the game is fun and I'm glad I checked it out despite some controversy that I've heard from friends who recommended this to me : 8/10

Voto: 8.2/10

I wrote a thing that isn't gonna be controversial in any way. No sir. No ma'am. No controversial at all. Nopity nope.

This is an article (in spanish, as usual) about how it was to play Dragon's Crown, a game with character designs widely considered sexist, with a feminist.

(The feminist is my wife, btw).

The handpainted looking art style, and sidescrolling beat'em up action is what first attracted me to this game. Finally started this with my wife last weekend.

We thought the exaggerated 'Frazetta in steroids' artstyle that make some of the women in the game look like the most cartonish pornstars ever would make us dislike the game, but the gameplay was so fun that we could ignore that easily. It seems like we finally found a 'weekend game' to replace Diablo III.
