I've got another long flight this weekend (from Boudler to Cape Town 😓) so help me select a portable game to play on my phone with the vita emulator. These are the options I've got so far:

  • Dragon's Crown
  • Guacamele!
  • Odin Sphere Leifthrasir
  • Ninja Gaiden Sigma
  • Keep trying to make Salt and Sanctuary work, even though the game constantly crashes. …

I wrote a thing that isn't gonna be controversial in any way. No sir. No ma'am. No controversial at all. Nopity nope.

This is an article (in spanish, as usual) about how it was to play Dragon's Crown, a game with character designs widely considered sexist, with a feminist.

(The feminist is my wife, btw).

The handpainted looking art style, and sidescrolling beat'em up action is what first attracted me to this game. Of course, there's the controversy behind some of the overly exaggerated images depicted in the game (I personally didn't mind), BUT if you can look past that I think it's a pretty solid beatem up RPG game. We thought the exaggerated 'Frazetta in steroids' artstyle that make some of the women in the game look like the most cartonish pornstars ever would make us dislike the game, but the gameplay was so fun that we could ignore that easily. Also, that artwork style works perfectly for the monsters and …

It seems like we finally found a 'weekend game' to replace Diablo III.
