The Regulus system has been attacked by alien forces, and you are the only Terran fighter in place to clear the area and rescue the captured hostages. The game is a vertically-scrolling shoot 'em up with 5 levels. The first of these involves clearing their defences to reach the alien sector, then you face the jungle, ice and desert planets, before reaching the final alien compound. Indeed, some absolutely amazing music (the C64 version). Such a jam. But the gameplay was disappointing considering its contemporary rave reviews... I mean it's just another microcomputer shoot em up, sure, but the pacing was awkward; many of the standard enemies seemed entirely dependent on how fast they were moving, not so much about fun techniques on your end--you could kill the slow ones, have to dodge the fast ones; and the honing enemies... yea I stopped after that lol. They were frustrating me. Maybe it's exhaustion from finally completing a deathless 250 Tombs of Amascut raid... or that I'm eager to play Pokemon Yellow instead :-p
