Hmmm something oddly captivating about this. And the power-ups and music during the shmup section kept me going. It feels quite lazy/GB-limited in some ways, but in other ways it is quite hooking right off the bat. I'm a bit overwhelmed though because this is in Japanese and it doesn't seem to be just a pick up and play game (tho I am anyway haha). Before I get too far let me see if there's a fan translation. Even if it remains this good, I suppose it really can only be a 3 star.... unless it keeps me this hooked and has even better music! Ah! 1991 is gonna take forever! There is no fan translation so Imma just try my best lol. I see there are walkthrough videos online, and if it does continue to impress me, I suppose I will consult those if I get stuck.

enter image description here Some really good visuals in this for a Gameboy game, and honestly the shmup segments and action-adventure segments are quite good, I just have no idea what's going on lol And I don't think that's just a language barrier :-p I get the idea of going through open doors, beating a level, and then it's shut. But withing levels there are doors that lead to labyrinths with more doors and so on. Ah!

Part of me really wants to give this a 3 star because it's peculiarly good, but I dunno, I should have higher standards for this era
