Main game

The game mimics the look of NES-era first person dungeon crawlers. It uses this aesthetic to its advantage in order to unsettle you. Mechanically, the game is a short point and click adventure with simple hiding mechanics like that of Alien Isolation. You can beat the game in about an hour without too much trouble. All this said, the game is a worthwhile experience that genuinely scared me at times.
I was drawn in by the unique art style, the frame-by-frame pixel animation, and the overall aesthetic. I loved where the game was going - the mood it sets. But as the main gameplay started, it kinda was unplayable for me. The chasing mechanic didn’t make sense and never worked well for me. The puzzles were either too obvious or totally illogical. So I just ended up watching the endings on YouTube.
Still, the art and animation are super memorable and well done. Would love to just watch a film in this style.
