An Enjoyable Platformer that's Clearly Different from its Console Counterpart
This review is for the Game Boy Advance version

I started a playthrough of this version of Ultimate Spider-Man on my YouTube channel, and I have to say, though this handheld iteration is nowhere near as full featured as its more robust console sibling of the same name, I really enjoyed the experience. The sprites move smoothly, and while I had occasional issues with the enemies' almost unfair ability to land a hit on me at the most unbelievable times, I quickly adapted and figured out how to overcome them.

The graphics do look a little over-pixelated when playing on a larger screen, but since this game was clearly developed for a smaller screen experience, I didn't really think much of it. I imagine this game looks fantastic on an actual GBA, and in the meantime the movements, environments, and overall flow of the game feels amazing.

I've made it about halfway through this game, and eagerly plan to play the other half in the near future.

My first playthrough of this game, using the GameBoy Advance cartridge in a Hyperkin RetroN 5 console, can be found here:
