I've been playing for about 5 hours, if Steam is to be believed and reached what I presume is the final boss a few times. Gameplay is fun, but a bit basic. There's not much strategy other than keeping the trigger pressed and pointing at the enemies, but the real strategy is in building your weapon. There are some balancing issues that make some upgrades useless, but overall, I really like getting to the rewards and having a think on how which part I want and where would I attach it. Sometimes you need to get creative on barrel placement or reorganise all your existing parts to make that new gun fit.

I also appreciate the little tidbits of humour after each run. Like how the Colonel that keeps changing the name of the purple crystals.

Can be quite fun. It's a rogelike I which you get randomised parts that you assemble into your guns. You can attach various weapons together into gigantic assemblages. Theres some neat challenge wye building the weapons since you need enough attaching points to attach all the guns and modifiers so it's a balancing act. Do I want to chose the railgun or should I get another body to attach more things later? You can also play with placement, which can make a difference.

A few issues are that guns don't feel particularly different. They have various properties like rate of fire, spread and such, but at the end of the day I would just press the trigger and point to the things that I wanted dead and the same strategy works with almost any combination. In terms of progression, you get these purple crystals that carry over from run to run but they don't seem to do anything. They seem to unlock stjff automatically, which doesn't make me feel that I advanced because I don't have a say in what to unlock and so I don't feel I own it.
