To me, this sequel seemed just like an example of a "soulless" game: the stages seem to be filled with traps and enemies copied from the NES version but this time placed in a way that seemed random and without a clear difficulty curve.

Something I can't understand is the reason why you can't see the HP of the bosses, which you could do in the NES version. Bosses take many hits to be defeated, so it was super irritating not knowing when they were close to death.

The final fight is somewhat tedious since even after finding a good pattern to fight the boss, it requires you to wait for a while so the boss stops attacking, only to be able to land a few hits. It's a pain.

I'd rather play the NES version again. Not recommended.

Just beat Kid Icarus: Of Myths & Monsters. The boss fights in this game take way too long.
