In general, it's artistically impressive, even though pretty standard, but mechanically it lacks a lot. There are easy-to-do first-order optimal strategies, virtually no difficulty or important choices to do and the tactical combat is actually very simple despite the multitude of attributes and statuses. What might seem to be creating depth (like shrines with combat bonuses or management of villagers) is actually just not usable or plainly skippable. I would like to see this game remade into something more coherent but it wouldn't take a patch - rather redesign.
