Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly is the fourth game in the Spyro the Dragon series and the first Spyro game to be on the PlayStation 2 and Nintendo Gamecube. Gameplay is similar to the previous three console games. The only playable character is Spyro, however he can man several vehicles: Hunter's Manta Ray and the UFO's make a return appearance from Year of the Dragon, alongside two new vehicles, the tank and the Spitfire attack plane. Wish they would have finished this...

I loved the idea of this game and the level designs, and even the music.. But the controls, even in the simplest of levels without any enemies, navigating is such a struggle and made me just give up. I don't know how I managed to 100% this game back in the day. I wish they could re-make this someday, I would like to see a playable version.

Enter the Glitch Fly

This game is a mess but it is only because of the extremely harsh, unfair and rushed game developments any other Spyro game in the series ever had: if we take off the Crash/Spyro crossover on GBA, then this one is most likely the most hated chapter in the franchise.

The charme of the old Spyro shines there and then, but it's so aggavated by every thing that the game does wrong.

  • The hubworld feels void of life and interesting features as opposed to the amazingly good to explore, tinier and more "convoluted" hubworlds of the three initial games.
  • Very little levels, despite the potentials of there being more.
  • Atrocious dub (and in the Italian version it's all the more atrocious!).
  • Useless breaths that have no relevance to the gameplay style if not for very specific ways to get to a certain firefly.
  • Bubble breath is only useful for catching fireflyes and that's it. Every time you have to swap out your current breath to breathe a bubble on the firefly. Useless.
  • It's broke: the rushed development created a dozen more of different glitched there and there that seriously impale the enjoyment of the game.

It's sad. I used to …

It's sad. I used to really like this game as a child because it reminded me of the good times I had with Spyro 3.
