Interesting, Clever Gameplay, But Execution Could Be Much Better

Play: 6/10 Yeah, no, I was hoping I could get into text adventures honing in on and exploiting the newer technology for the petty RNG aspect of the genre, rather than the fun cleverness and witty, satisfying puzzles of it.... sad. Like, my least favorite part of Colossal Cave was the Dwarf--that aspect surely wasn't my favorite part that I wished new technology would add more of... and yet it seems both RPGs and text adventures went that way... Not that surprising, since I know tabletop gaming has a similar story: more features, more tweaking possible, and more challenge as time goes on. And it's silly, is there a limit to the amount of points you can get? Or could I keep killing in the maze? I didn't really have a drive to find out... Some really clever stuff in this, and unique for sure, but moving on..

Attachment: 5/10 If it weren't clear, moving on. There are too many special text adventures for this one to stand out, and it's time for graphic ones for this year anyway...

Ironic to read my review of this now, because only 3 months later, I consider both C64 and BBC Micro among my preferred platforms. (ZX Spectrum probly the top one that grew the most on me, from being my most loathed to my favorite.)
