A Short, Fun Myth-Focused Text Adventure

Play: 8/10 Very mythological. I like the praying heh, and I like the gathering of equipment aspect. With a clear mission, to boot. Play: 8/10 Very mythological. I like the praying heh, and I like the gathering of equipment aspect. With a clear mission, to boot. Some of the items really felt like powerups or useful upgrades necessary to access certain areas, like in a lot of later adventures and action-adventures and Metroidvanias I love. Potentially frustrating traditional parser, but not bad tbh. Like usual with the Mysterious Adventures series, to-the-point descriptions and short & sweet (and fortunately better than usual for the series/unique enough to stand out). Thankfully not RNG-based deaths, at least that I encountered.

Feel: 8/10 Ah yes, the Beggar trope. Of course, the mythological text adventures use it a lot, but that seems to be a general text adventure trope heh. Cool idea with the flying. And I liked quite a bit of the writing, tho some spelling errors as per usual with text adventures. This technically is quite a typical myth text adventure, but I dunno, it caught my attention for whatever reason. Maybe it was some of the writing like this :-p enter image description here

Attachment: 8/10 Finally a decent text adventure again. It'd been a while. Not that it was that remarkable, clever, or innovative--but it kept my attention, and I have been looking for an '83 text adventure that would be good to have non-text players try (e.g., my brothers heh). Not the best text adventure, but a good introduction for people interested in myths and more straightforward text adventures.

Completion: 100% Playtime: ~20 mins
