Overall there is just enough variety and satisfying core mechanics, it works but has some flaws/balance bits and some design elements that annoyed me as a magic player, as well as AI issues time to time but ultimately is better than I had expected. It was fun and doesnt have a drastic learning curve (though it is hard). Good board game adaptations can be cool, but usually I feel are kinda dry in video games. This one manages to feel like a video game and relatively fluid. Curious to play the 3ds even though its not really as popular as this one was. this is probably better as a multi game anyway
the game will get hard and chaotic, like a board game there is a lot of luck involved. single move wipes can happen. matches can get long.
I particularly liked the imminent saturny style, JRPG look and feel mixed with classic MTG style card art.... It gives the game a strange charm to see several popular western inspirations nipponized like this.
