Solid Sci-Fi Action HOPA

Whenever I run out of games I am excited to play, I tend to fall back into the Hidden Object Adventure genre. They are mindless, gameplay-heavy point and click games where you can watch a podcast while satisfying a basic puzzle-solving gameplay loop. But once in a while, I actually enjoy the games to the point that I can appreciate all the normal elements I do in other genres - the art, the story, etc.

Paranormal Pursuit is a game I luckily found by diving into the backlog of the developer behind two of my other favorite games in the genre - Stray Souls 1 and 2. Honestly, almost all of their other games suck... but this one was pretty great. If you enjoy point and click games generally, I definitely recommend trying out some of the ones I've mentioned on this site - this being one of them.

Other ones off the top of my head that are my favorites: True Fear 1-3, Maze: Subject 360, and Fright by Lesta. But if you don't enjoy games with a horror theme - this, Stray Souls, or the New York Mysteries series (and most games by Five-BN) are great as well!
