Basically, title sums it up. After being blown away by Infection: The Twin Vaccine, I wanted to check out the other games by Gogii Games. As many HOPA developers did, they switched over to mobile game slop for the past 10-15 years. But in the golden era of early 2010's - they put out some really well-made and genuinely atmospheric point and click games.
This one would almost have been just as great as Infection, if not for the constant hidden object minigames. And unlike Infection, which has the Five-BN style minigames where each item you find gets used to find the next item and so on, these are just pure old school lists - which I absolutely despise.
Luckily, I was able to just spam click my way through them, and the rest of the game is outstanding. The entire game takes place in a haunted mansion, there's plenty of backtracking and open level design, some really cool parallel reality mechanics, and it's got a great art style and atmosphere. Truly checks the "Spencer Mansion" box for me, where you slowly solve puzzles and work your way through a singular large interconnected mansion - my happy place.

Not one of my all time favorites, but definitely somewhere in my top 30 for the genre. Check out Infection, which I would recommend to EVERY point and click fan, and if you want more this is a solid follow-up. Hopefully there are a couple more gems in the Gogii Games backlog.
