Enjoyable Compilation Game that has a few Slow Parts

I loved Retro Game Challenge 1, so was really excited to find an English translation of the 2nd game.

The 2nd game has a lot of the similar strengths to the first one. I really enjoyed the variety of games, the retro vibes, and exploring fun manuals and fake video game magazines.

The challenges in this game weren't as good as in the first game. They each only took a few minutes to complete usually, which meant I couldn't really enjoy the games, minus for the last challenge.

The game selection is pretty solid, my favorite was WizMan, a PacMan-like game, Mutekiken Kung Fu a cool beat um up game, and Super Demon Returns which was a mix of Ghost n Goblins and Super Mario.

But there are a few duds too. There is a visual novel game in here that would have been like impossible to complete for me without a guide. Then the JRPG, which I liked in the first game, isn't nearly as good with the main challenge being a pretty hard to navigate tower.

Overall, this game is worth checking out if you don't mind having to work your way through a few slow periods.

I've fallen again into GCCX big time, so playing this again was a need.
