Perhaps I Should Give The Apple II Version A Try..

Look: 7/10 Love the vibe and colors of the title screen, and for a Spectrum game! Impressive. I can only imagine the Apple II version! enter image description here

Play: 6/10 Tho I was quite impressed by the graphics, unfortunately, the loading time is a negative. Apple II draws nice and quickly (usually). Maybe if I used a stronger Spectrum model, but I wanted to stay true to its release model. It started out pretty fun, but quickly got quite dry. I did like the swimming and cast concepts, but that only lasted so long. And the throwing brick at can part was petty rng, never enjoy that.

Feel: 6/10 I've mostly been disappointed by the later Adams Adventures, not that this one was bad like some of the other early 80s ones. The only sorta special thing about it is that it was finally decent graphics and loading in a Spectrum game. Tho the loading is slow. I do always like the treasure hunt and store type text adventures, and I love that this one is in a tree heh--classic.

Attachment: 6/10 Well, at least I pushed through and got 100%. That says something. And the setting and some of the concepts are neat. But not special enough to stand out amid the sea of text adventures from this era. A little buggy too, so doubt I will ever return to this.

Completion: 100% Playtime: ~20 mins
