I actually enjoyed this more than the first 2 NES Ninja Gaidens, but uh it was only worth playing 2 acts of it. Haven't really clicked with this series. Played SNES trilogy version. This game is much better than its predecessors, mostly because of tighter controls and fewer respawning enemies. While the overall combat is somewhat easier, the platforming is more difficult and extensive. I had a problem in stage 6 where my time limit ran out and I had no backup save states to deal with it. Had to use a continue and thankfully did not have to redo very much. The hardest bosses near the end were not as ridiculously difficult as the first 2 games, though the final boss still used similar mechanics and was quite easy.

i was able to beat Ninja Gaiden 3, which is the easiest of the three games for the nes, the game is as hard as i thought but on the other hand really fair, the game is much longer than i thought. The strongest parts of the game are the boss battles, which can be very tense. Next stage in my walktrough in the wrong way is Ninja Gaiden 2, which, from what i heard, is much harder.
