Solid underwater mini Metroidvania
Aqua Boy is a very simple fun mini Metroidvania. I have played almost all underwater Metroidvanias, and this is one of the better ones imo. It has a MS Paint art style. Very simple level design. About 6-7 abilities. But I definitely enjoyed it throughout my 2 hour playtime.
In the grand scheme, it’s pretty short and forgettable, but I think it was worth a playthrough. Nothing super unique, but the minimalist gameplay helps the pacing and it never gets boring.
Not the best game by any stretch, but a decent pickup from the Steam sale
