Remember people used to say that Jurassic Park could work out? Well, this game is the answer that question

  • You have to manage the park's finances as best you can. If you make everything cheap, you won't be able to pay for your researchs or for you fossil hunting teams, causing you to eventually go bankrupt because you won't get enough dinosaurs on time and the visitors will get bored. If you make everything expensive, you will get far less visitors
  • All dinosaurs have their own animations and behaviors. For example the pack carnivores won't fight a larger herbivore or carnivore if they don't have a pack (Except the Albertosaurus which is big enough to fight some large herbivores and carnivores), the Triceratops is quite territorial and will attack other carnivores without provocations, the T. rex can't function with other dinosaurs, etc
  • The dinosaurs will get sick and they will die if you do not vaccinate them against any of the illnesses in the game
  • Dinosaurs will rampage if they are stressed by either storms, tornadoes or lack of trees/food. If you don't have good security measures, your park will become a death trap soon enough
  • You can't please everyone on the spot since visitors will want to see either dinosaurs just having fun, dinosaurs fightning, be as "time period accurate as possible", etc. So you have to always have a cage for each visitor type
  • You have to make the park as secure as possible, so make sure you have many bunkers and many roads to them; otherwise visitors will either escape to the main gate or they will collapse the roads and get killed by the natural disaster or a dinosaur. This is very important, because any death toll will destroy your reputation and finances
  • The music is the same from the movies, so you will be remembering the tunes
  • The game has a limit on how many dig sites you can have, but you can mod the game to have more. Still, I found that dissapointing because it locks you out of several interactions
  • Some dinosaurs are kind of unfinished, some of the herbivores won't fight back against the carnivores for example
