A spin-off of the Mario Golf series. Much like the Game Boy Color version of Mario Golf, the player started out with four human characters.

My thoughts:

This is the most obscure Mario Golf title that almost doesn't feel like one because most of the Mario elements have been taken out from this game. The main gimmick of this title is the fact that you could play this game against other real-life players "online" with a cell phone adapter. It's the only way to actually unlock Mario characters in this game from what I read.

There's not much else to say that this is Mario Golf GBC with 4 new courses and minigolf! Other than that, the RPG story mode is entire missing even though you create another custom character. Everything is behind menus now. Give this game a look if you want an "expansion pack" to Mario Golf GBC, and if you can deal with Japanese menus.
