You are The Untouchables in this side-scrolling action game. Play as Elliot Ness after the ruthless Mafia boss Al Capone. You have various tasks throughout the six levels and a variety of weapons to pick up such as a shotgun or tommy gun. Watch out for Capone's henchmen though.

Beat. The shooting gallery stages were pretty good. I liked being able to move around to get into cover and collect powerups, though the time limit should not have been there. Game over from losing health is enough. It would have been better if there was a fixed number of enemies to kill whose locations were saved, rather than being more like a real shooting gallery; a bit of logical consistency and progression. The shooting gallery level with the Tommy gun was a bit better, but lacked reloading. The sidescroller stages were less fun but I did very much appreciate how you could aim in 8 directions. Still hard to aim diagonally without moving. The problem with these stages was the very tight time limit (a running theme with this game it seems), which forces you to throw careful tactics out the window and instead run and gun in a mad rush. I would have preferred a slower experience with limited ammo, scavenging, and more dangerous enemies without a time limit. Then there was the top down stage, which I had to restart twice because of the time limit. God damn time limits. The 1st time I didn't know there …

I would have preferred a slower experience with limited ammo, scavenging, and more dangerous enemies without a time limit. Then there was the top down stage, which I had to restart twice because of the time limit. God damn time limits. The 1st time I didn't know there was a sprint button, and the guy moves at a snail's pace. Another thing I like; limited stamina sprinting. Just let the player move at max speed except while shooting; fair and tactical. The 2nd time I failed because the map highlighted the objectives, except the 2 basement stairs. I didn't have enough time to backtrack for the other stairs. You really need a flawless path to beat the time limit. Then the shooting was not good. You can only shoot in 8 directions again without ever being able to spray bullets between those directions, so you will always be at risk of getting shot by trying to get to a position where you can actually hit the enemies. This shooting was more awkward than the side scrolling stages. Last was the final showdown with the boss in a shooting gallery sequence. This time 1st person view with L and R moving up and down into cover. For some reason this repeated over several stages with the last not having cover. Why? Why not make it a single more epic fight?

This game could have been a lot better with more coherent gameplay and campaign. Rather it feels more like a collection of mini games. It makes me imagine a linear campaign where you switch between the 3 styles of shooting depending on the circumstances, or even better, at will. That would be hard to make though. Despite being very short this game had some fun.
