You are Hawkeye Pierce, Chief Medical Surgeon of the 4077th MASH. Your responsibilities include rescuing injured men from the battlefield, performing surgery in the operating room, or, in an alternative game, picking up Colonel Potter's skydiving medics. You pilot your chopper low through the trees, avoiding shells fired at you from a North Korean tank. After picking up the medics or wounded and rushing them back to the hospital, the pressure really starts to get heavy. Time is running out for the injured men and you must operate. You have to work fast. You are competing with your fellow surgeons, either B.J. Hunnicut, Trapper John McIntyre or Frank Burns. Read less

Not a particularly good game, but an alright one for its time, if one chooses to be generous. Fun story. I was playing this recently with my five year old, explaining how the helicopter can only pick up so many people before it needs to needs to drop them off at the hospital before picking up more people. The five year old then said, “I think that’s when the helicopter window fills in.” I then look at the screen dumbfounded. I have been playing this game from time to time since the 80s, and I had never noticed that the helicopter window fills in when it can’t fit anymore people on it.

God, I love those Atari 2600 colors. The dusk/dawn color--yes. Beyond that, pure mediocrity, militarism propaganda. Meh. Honestly, the game is quite fun, and the look is good, but considering all the other games there is to play, I needn't waste time on silly war selling.
