Experience the feel and finesse of real golf on beautiful 3D courses with True Swing Golf. In this dual-screened Nintendo DS golf game, using the touch screen and the stylus is almost like swinging a golf club in real life. The longer players slide a stylus across the touch screen, the harder they smack the ball. Players also can curve their swings to slice or fade shots and alter the angle of the club head for sharpshooter-like accuracy. Played through Master's Cup and reached Credits

Final thoughts:

This is a pretty neat hidden DS gem (known as Nintendo Touch Golf: Birdie Challenge in PAL regions). It's a solid golf game mechanically, where you dictate your golf swings with stylus swipes. The accuracy and curvature of your swings all depend on where you hit the ball with the stylus. It's pretty easy to pick up and play like the Mario Golf games. There's even a big lot of 16 full 18-hole courses!

However, the single-player Championship mode is VERY long and repetitive. You will end up replaying each 18H course several times, with the biggest offender in Master's cup where you have to play the same 18H course TWICE-IN-A-ROW to proceed. Given the basic environments and music, it feels like a never-ending grind to me. The final round does play in a real-life Phoenix Country Club in Japan, and the final tournament music (www.youtube.com/watch?v=yV_hETCMGO4) is pretty hype and uplifting!

I wouldn't recommend finishing this game unless you're a die hard golf fan, but it's still a neat game to at least check out.
