Played through this for the millennium challenge! Like every Rhythm Heaven it's effortlessly stylish and full of great beats, but the touch controls are a constant annoyance and there's a few more duds than I'm used to for the series. My favorite minigames were Love Lab, Frog Hop, and Rockers.

This game was the first video game I ever truly went crazy for. I remember mowing the grass by myself (mind you i have a 3 acre yard and did it with a push mower, and i was only 11 years old), just to get this game. I had no idea what the game was gonna be like, but i just had this feeling that i needed it, and boy did i. while at the time i was struggling with rhythm for my guitar lessons, so it was bought almost as a tool to get me to get better at rhythm, but it turned into one of my favorite games ever. Just like how slime rancher makes me happy, this game makes me focused, so focused nothing in this world could stop me. First i was so horrible at the game that it was sad, i could barely get past the first couple of games, but the music, and the focusing power of all the games just kept me going again and again and again, until i was eventually good enough to beat the game (sorta spoiler ahead) or so i thought. after beating the "final game" i was shocked to find out that there was an entirely new side to the game, where each and every game was upgraded by better music, and made harder by adding more and more steps. I remember the joy of finding out that it wasnt over, that i could continue my rhythm journey. After finally beating the entire game, i was so happy and sad at the same time. but i wasnt sad for long, as my rhythm journey wasnt quite over, now my quest was to get a superb on every single one of the games (which can get downright hard), and then to get a perfect on every single one (which is 10000 times harder than superb). I still have yet to perfect those darn doowop games, but other than that i eventually finished. by the time i finished, i was so good that rhythm tengoku (a japanese only rhythm heaven for the game boy) was a breeze, and my guitar lessons went so well that i was eventually asked onto a band. But all of this was still bittersweet as this game pretty much raised me rhythm wise, so it was like saying goodbye to a older sibling. But after a couple years, the wii was a huge thing, and i heard rumor of a new rhythm heaven game (which ill be putting a review on) which turned out to be true, and I dont remember what i had to do to earn that game, but by gosh i did it plus more, i had to have it. long story short, this game was the bomb back then, and its still the bomb now
