Rocko's Modern Life is a side-scrolling action game where the player takes control of the Nickelodeon character, Rocko, as they travel through three different stages (Rock-O-Whey Beach, Hill-O-Stench garbage dump, and Laundryland) trying to protect his beloved dog Spunky from the various dangers throughout the stages. Preliminary: Whoaaa I think I played this as a kid, presumably by renting from the vide store. It's beautiful, graet Look and great Sound, but as I remembered, the gameplay isn't great. That was a common issue with the SNES: I always loved to look at the games, but the bigger sprites often meant sloppier gameplay than the NES platformers …

Preliminary: Whoaaa I think I played this as a kid, presumably by renting from the vide store. It's beautiful, graet Look and great Sound, but as I remembered, the gameplay isn't great. That was a common issue with the SNES: I always loved to look at the games, but the bigger sprites often meant sloppier gameplay than the NES platformers I knew. But this music! Argh

The jump controls are very iffy and terrible collision masks so far lol. Yeah there was a lot of potential here for a clever puzzle action platformer set up but they missed the mark with the controls
