Surprising

I was pleasantly surprised by this short indie game. The writing is fantastic and I actually didn't expect the ending. The music, the graphics and the clear research that has gone into what it was like living during this time period made it all the more engrossing. Loved the fact that we got to play as a female detective during a time when women couldn't be anything. Hoping for a sequel.

Short and Sweet
This review is for the Nintendo Switch version

I really enjoyed the story, the setting, the characterizations, and the fact that you were in and out in 3 hours.

I thought the visuals were striking and took advantage of its tiny team and did the most with its minimalist design.

I will say if you are looking for a GAME game this is not it. It is a story and you participate in it by selecting bits of text to either catch people in lies or unlock new information to use to catch people in lies.

The writing is researched and interesting and well done but writing is all there is and reading is all there is to do. If you need more from an experience you will not get that here.

My only wish is that they added something to show when you had presented someone with something already so I knew what I had already asked each person and what I had not asked about with each person. I guess that would cut down the difficulty but it would also make it easier to juggle who I said what to.

Also, voice acting would have been nice.
